Rental Notice

All rental equipment must be collected and returned in person at our Sydney store (32 Oxford Street, Woollahra, Sydney). Postal rentals are not currently supported.

Please note that a deposit equal to the full retail price of the product will be charged at the start of the rental.

Upon return, the equipment will be inspected in-store, and a refund will be arranged if no issues are found; in the event of irregularities, a partial deduction may apply.

Terms & Conditions

By placing a rental booking with Auraloop (“we”, “us”, “our”), you (“you”, “customer”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms apply in addition to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Non-Medical Use & Responsibility
1.1 Hypershell X is not a medical device. It must only be used for its intended recreational/assistive purposes.
1.2 You are solely responsible for safe and appropriate use. Auraloop and Hypershell disclaim all liability for any damages, injuries, or consequences arising from medical or unintended use.

2. Booking, ID & Collection
2.1 Bring valid photo ID and the payment card used for booking at collection.
2.2 Collection and return location: 32 Oxford Street, Woollahra, Sydney NSW (unless otherwise stated).
2.3 You may test the product in-store. We will perform a joint power-on and function check and complete a Condition Report (photos + checklist). This forms the baseline for the return inspection.

3. Security Deposit & Payment
3.1 A security deposit equal to the product’s retail price is pre-authorised/held on your card at or before collection.
3.2 After on-time return and inspection, charges (if any) will be applied, and the remaining deposit will be released/refunded. Bank processing times apply.
3.3 Rental fees, deposit and any charges must be paid in AUD. Overdue amounts may accrue additional daily rental charges and/or admin fees.

4. Rental Period, Extensions & Late Returns
4.1 The rental period is stated on your booking.
4.2 Late returns may be charged at the applicable daily rate for each commenced day past the due time.
4.3 Extensions are subject to availability and must be confirmed by us by email or phone prior to the original due time.

5. Acceptable Wear vs Chargeable Damage
5.1 Acceptable wear (no charge): minor cosmetic marks from normal use (e.g., light surface scuffs not affecting function).
5.2 Chargeable damage (may be deducted from deposit): deep scratches, cracks, dents, bent or deformed frames, tears to the hip belt or leg straps, broken buckles, water or moisture ingress, corrosion, impact- or misuse-related electronic faults, unauthorised modification/repair, or missing accessories.
5.3 If damage or missing items are found at return, we will assess actual repair or replacement cost per the Damage Schedule (Section 10). Evidence (photos/notes) will be provided on request.
5.4 You must not open housings, alter firmware, or attempt repairs. Doing so may void warranties and incur charges.

6. Cleaning & Hygiene
6.1 Please return the unit dry and reasonably clean.
6.2 Excessive dirt, sweat, or mud that requires extra servicing may incur a cleaning fee as set out in the Damage Schedule.

7. Safe Use Requirements
7.1 Follow the User Guide and staff fitting instructions. Wear suitable footwear/clothing.
7.2 Do not exceed rated loads, speeds, or environmental limits. Avoid rain, puddles, and any liquid exposure.
7.3 Stop use immediately if you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, or device abnormality.
7.4 By default, use of the product is restricted to the named customer on the order, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Loss, Theft & Non-Return
8.1 You are responsible for the product from collection until completed return and check-in.
8.2 Loss, theft, or non-return may be charged up to the full replacement value (RRP) of the model plus any associated costs (e.g., accessories).

9. Cancellations & No-Shows
9.1 If you need to cancel or change your booking, please contact us as early as possible at service@auraloop.net / 0475 956 536 during 9:30–18:30 (AEST/AEDT).
9.2 We may offer a rebooking at our discretion subject to availability. Certain peak-time bookings may be non-refundable once within 24/48 hours of start time.

10. Damage Schedule (Guide)
Actual costs depend on parts and labour. We will discuss findings with you before charging.

Loss & Missing Items:

  • Missing accessory (bag/cables/straps/manual etc.): Replacement at RRP
  • Loss / Non-return: Replacement at RRP of the rented model

Note: This schedule is indicative. Final charges reflect actual repair/replacement quotations and reasonable labour. Evidence will be provided upon request.

11. Inspection & Disputes
11.1 Return inspection will be conducted against the Condition Report baseline.
11.2 If an issue is identified, we will notify you, share evidence, and provide an itemised estimate.
11.3 If you dispute a proposed charge, please reply within 3 business days. We will review promptly and act reasonably. Your ACL rights are not affected.

12. Liability & Indemnity
12.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits your ACL rights.
12.2 You agree to use the product responsibly and indemnify us against claims arising from misuse, unlawful use, or use outside the User Guide or these terms.

13. Privacy
13.1 We collect necessary details (ID, contact, booking, device serial, inspection photos) to provide rental services, manage deposits, and for security/fraud prevention.
13.2 We handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. For enquiries, contact service@auraloop.net.

14. Governing Law
14.1 These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
14.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.
